Septic Risers

A septic tank riser is a pipe that extends from the surface of your yard to the septic tank underground. Risers have lids that can be unscrewed to allow easy access to your tank for pumping or inspection. We install plastic risers that are durable and will withstand the elements. Riser covers have a rubber gasket that pushes into the lip of the riser, when its screwed down this prevents any scent or odor from being able to escape the riser. We put a riser on all new systems that we install.

We recommend that tanks are pumped every two to three years and one of the benefits of a riser is that your lawn will not need to be dug up and reburied for pumping. This will pay for itself with saving additional labor costs when pumping your tank. In the Winter when the ground freezes the riser will work well because it can be unscrewed to allow access to the tank, if necessary, instead of having to dig and chisel the frost.

The best time for riser installation is when you have your tank pumped, we can measure and give you a cost to install the risers. If you have any questions or would like more information on risers or any other septic needs, give us a call.
